Senior Technical Support Specialist - Mpi Inc.

The Senior Technical Support Specialist plays a crucial role in delivering high-level technical assistance to both internal and external clients within the Operations division. This position is focused on resolving escalated technical challenges and engaging in customer design, engineering, and installation processes for servers, networking, internet, and security services tailored for co-location and managed services clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and resolve issues on both internal and client systems, including providing on-call support
  • Serve as the primary liaison for production client systems
  • Install, mount, and connect hardware for both clients and internal use
  • Oversee system and application installation and configuration
  • Design and implement networking systems, security protocols, connectivity solutions, and support applications in accordance with certifications
  • Ensure operating systems and applications are up-to-date with patches and security measures
  • Investigate and rectify client issues, offering backup support as necessary

Required Skills:

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French
  • Relevant Microsoft certifications such as MCSE or MCDBA
  • Knowledge of networking and server technologies
  • Experience with SQL and Citrix platforms
  • Strong analytical abilities and troubleshooting expertise

Required Education:

  • IT Diploma from a recognized technical institution or equivalent professional experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CCNA certification
  • Familiarity with SQL and Exchange systems
