About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Remediation Project Coordinator to join our national Remediation Program Management (RPM) team at WSP Canada.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create a safe and positive work environment for colleagues
  • Demonstrate a non-wavering commitment to health and safety
  • Work closely with project managers to prepare health and safety plans, emergency response plans, proposals, and cost estimates
  • Schedule field staff and subcontractors, compile data for reports, and write reports including conclusions and recommendations
  • Conduct occasional field work, including soil, groundwater, surface water, and vapour investigations, monitoring programs, and site remediation
  • Train junior staff in environmental practices, including Phase I and II ESAs, drilling, surveying, groundwater sampling, and oversight of remediation
  • Collaborate across the national RPM team and WSP Canada
  • Inspire team commitment to our Company Guiding Principles and Vision
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to technicians
  • Formulate a personal career development plan with specific goals to achieve career aspirations
Requirements
  • University degree or above in environmental science, engineering, or related field
  • Proven experience in contaminated site assessment, soil and groundwater sampling
  • Minimum of 4 years of related experience in an engineering consulting environment
  • Analytical mind with ability to make recommendations on next steps for client sites
  • Willingness to grow career within the RPM team
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse teams and multiple priorities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • P.Eng. or P.Geo. designation preferred
