Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Communications Manager to join our team at Reitmans (Canada) Ltée/Ltd. As a key member of our communications team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing communication plans that meet business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Communication Plans: Collaborate with the Vice President of Corporate Communications to develop and implement communication plans that meet business objectives, including internal and external communications initiatives.
  • Content Creation: Write and create engaging content for various target groups using RCL branding and tone of voice, maintaining a cross-company network for effective content management and creation.
  • Project Management: Manage organization of communications projects and assign tasks to the team as needed, including Town Halls, company events, and printed communications assets.
  • Team Leadership: Provide direction to in-house and external graphic designers, photographers, and other media-production specialists to complete communications.
  • Community Management: Serve as the Community Manager for internal and external corporate communications channels, overseeing content, governance, and overall advancement.
  • Communication Tools: Create and deploy communication tools that support internal corporate programs and initiatives.
  • Research and Analysis: Research and understand key business challenges, communication channels, target audiences, competitive activity, and environmental factors impacting our business and communications department.
  • Team Oversight: Oversees the day-to-day operations of the communications team, provides guidance, and supports their overall growth.
  • Press Coverage: Reviews and monitors daily press coverage.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or equivalent.
  • Experience: 7-10 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in English and French (both oral and written).
  • Writing Skills: Strong writing skills.
  • Software Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite a strong asset.
  • Professional Skills: Professional rigor with the ability to organize and prioritize to deliver results.
  • Time Management: Ability to meet deadlines in a constantly evolving environment.
  • Creative Thinking: Creative thinker who fosters a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to understand, synthesize, and communicate cross-company information effectively.
