Job Title: Employment Resource Specialist

Confederation College is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to fill the role of Employment Resource Specialist. This position is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, reception, promotion, and registration and pre-assessment of clients, data entry, employment programs, and coordinating administrative details for the NEW Community Employment Resource Centre in Thunder Bay.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide customer service and reception duties, including responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Register and pre-assess clients, ensuring accurate and efficient processing of employment programs.
  • Enter data into various systems, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Coordinate administrative details, including scheduling appointments and managing calendars.
  • Develop and implement employment programs, promoting job search skills and providing support to clients.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a related field, such as Human Resources, English, Hospitality, or Service Environment.
  • Experience facilitating workshops and providing employment advisement and referrals.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Google Drive, and other digital tools.
  • Advanced level knowledge of websites and computer programs.
  • Crisis intervention training.
Working Conditions:

This is an in-person position, requiring regular attendance and flexibility to meet the needs of the team and clients.
