About Our Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Policy Analyst to join our Policy and Corporate Services division. As an Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in policy research, analysis, and development, while contributing to the creation of healthy communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research and analysis on current issues and initiatives
  • Prepare presentations and briefing materials for steering committees and executives
  • Provide agenda management support and record notes from meetings and workshops
  • Support the development of submissions to cabinet, including Memoranda to Executive Council (MECs) and Requests for Legislation (RFLs)
  • Collaborate with the broader project team and provide support on deliverables as required
Qualifications and Experience
  • Recent graduate from a post-secondary institution with a background in public administration, research, or a related field
  • Experience drafting and completing communications, conducting research and analysis, and proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills
  • Ability to develop relationships and build partnerships, and manage multiple tasks and priorities
