As an Engineering Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing the allocation of engineering tasks to optimize resource efficiency. Your role will include:
- Providing mentorship and support to junior team members, fostering their professional growth.
- Collaborating with the Engineering Director to identify and address the training and development needs of the department.
- Ensuring quality assurance and quality control processes are adhered to, guaranteeing that engineering outputs align with stakeholder expectations.
- Managing documentation and maintaining organization of the Engineering Institute's systems, records, and assets.
- Assisting the Engineering Director in implementing departmental strategies and initiatives, with guidance from the Vice President of Engineering.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, with a P.Eng designation being a valuable asset.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting information to senior management.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French is advantageous.
- A comprehensive understanding of risk engineering and loss prevention, particularly in relation to equipment failure and property insurance.
- Experience in heavy industry sectors, including oil and gas, power generation, and manufacturing, providing a robust understanding of the specific challenges and requirements within these fields.
- A solid grasp of facility operations, maintenance, asset management, risk assessment, and capital project execution.
