Job Title: Outside Sales Account Manager

Fluid Power, a SunSource company, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Outside Sales Account Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing new business and expanding existing relationships in the mobile and industrial hydraulic sales territory.

Responsibilities:
  • Prospect, develop, and build new business relationships for PSI within your assigned geographic territory.
  • Establish customer sales and marketing plans to ensure strategic overall growth.
  • Maintain contact with all customer accounts in designated area to ensure company sales targets, collection targets, and customer satisfaction goals are constantly met.
  • Prospect through cold call visits, telephone, and correspondence to determine the needs for products and services with new customers.
  • Generate new sales leads and promote the company's products to customers by establishing and maintaining excellent customer rapport and customer confidence.
  • Meet and exceed sales quotas by closing new business and expanding with existing clients.
  • Gather strategic market information on competition and recognize new business opportunities for the company.
  • Interact and coordinate effectively with all other company departments.
  • Actively participate in and attend sales meetings outside of regular business hours, as required.
  • Provide design and troubleshooting services to your customer base as well as assist others on the sales team.
  • Constantly keep up with technology and brands in the industry.
  • Update and maintain our CRM contact information within P21.
  • Provide backup when required to the inside sales team.
  • Assist with company training including taking inside sales team and others to customer sites to gather field knowledge.
Requirements:
  • Technical training or degree in Fluid Power is preferred; OR any suitable combination of education, training, and work experience.
  • Fluid Power certification is preferred.
  • 2+ years industrial or technical sales experience with at least 2 years in fluid power sales preferred.
  • Application and troubleshooting experience with fluid power products and systems.
  • Ability to establish and maintain business relationships.
  • Must have clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer proficiency is required.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Overnight travel may be required.
Training and Development:
  • Hydraulics 100, 200, 300, 400.
  • Hydraulics Troubleshooting and Design.
  • Maximizer Training.
  • Eaton Product Training (after being hired).
  • Hydraulics 101.
  • Vickers Product Specialist Training.
  • Eaton Product Specialist Training.
  • Char-Lynn Product Specialist Training.
