Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer to join our team at Electronic Arts. As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our systems and applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with development teams to identify and resolve build issues and improve overall system performance.
  • Design, implement, and maintain pipelines and workflow tools to streamline our development process.
  • Develop and maintain application code to enhance various tools and systems within our infrastructure.
  • Work closely with team members to maintain and enhance our automation pipeline, ensuring seamless integration and deployment of new features.
  • Monitor automation systems and respond to support requests and outages in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Manage virtual infrastructure, including deploying and monitoring containers, to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Analyze metrics to optimize automation systems and identify areas for improvement.
  • Evaluate new technologies and software products to determine their feasibility and desirability for incorporation into our company's products.
Technical Skills
  • Source-control administration (e.g. Git)
  • Configuration Management and Continuous Integration/Deployment
  • Cloud deployments (e.g. AWS, GCP)
  • Container technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher)
  • Infrastructure automation tools (e.g. Helm, Terraform, Maven)
  • Monitoring Tools (e.g. CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Tracing)
  • System administration (e.g. OSX, Linux)
Ideal Candidate Characteristics
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong desire to collaborate with team members.
  • Ability to manage tasks and responsibilities, as well as lead and delegate to team members.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to identify setbacks and shortcomings, and implement corrective actions.
  • Active interest in the DevOps movement and its principles.
Bonus Requirements
  • Experience with secrets management tools (e.g. Hashicorp Vault)
  • Experience with artifact management tools (e.g. JFrog Artifactory)
  • Experience with container orchestration and microservice management tools
