Position Overview:

The Investment Advisor will play a crucial role in collaborating with clients to develop tailored financial strategies that align with their individual goals and aspirations. This role encompasses retirement planning, investment guidance, estate planning, and insurance services, ensuring a comprehensive approach to wealth management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in personal consultations with clients to assess their financial needs and objectives, crafting customized financial plans that provide actionable recommendations.
  • Deliver a holistic wealth management experience that addresses various aspects of financial planning, including retirement, investments, estate, insurance, and tax considerations.
  • Implement both basic and advanced insurance planning strategies utilizing life, disability, critical illness, and long-term care insurance products.
  • Maintain accurate client records in compliance with regulatory standards, and report activities to the relevant management personnel.
  • Facilitate client seminars focused on wealth management topics and participate in business development initiatives as necessary.
  • Manage assigned budgets effectively, ensuring adherence to financial guidelines and optimal resource allocation.
  • Promote the investment offerings of Aviso Wealth within the community, enhancing brand visibility and client engagement.
  • Support credit union staff in understanding and utilizing wealth management products.
  • Develop strategic business plans to identify and capitalize on opportunities that meet client needs.
  • Proactively identify and nurture potential client relationships for future engagement.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • LLQP – Life & Accident and Sickness certification.
  • Securities (CSC) Licensing.
  • Financial Planning Designation (e.g., CFP, PFP, CLU, Ch.F.C., CIM).
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in the financial planning industry.
  • Strong knowledge of investment and insurance sectors, with an understanding of the Canadian credit union landscape.
  • Stay updated on current trends in financial markets and industry developments.
  • Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships, along with excellent sales and presentation skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities, coupled with effective organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Engagement in business development activities and community service.
  • Team-oriented mindset.
