Job Title: Senior Research EDI Strategist

Reporting to the Associate Director, the Senior Research EDI Strategist will play a critical role in developing and implementing overarching research EDI goals for Research Acceleration & Strategic Initiatives (RASI).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and deliver specialized EDI initiatives to enhance successful funding outcomes across the Canadian funding landscape.
  • Lead the establishment and delivery of EDI educational activities for the USask research community.
  • Cultivate and maintain excellent relationships with researchers, research groups, and university teams.
  • Proactively identify strategies to embed and apply principles of DORA to enhance existing procedures for CRC recruitment and nominations.
  • Engage in comprehensive reviews of existing policies, processes, and decision-making frameworks.
  • Establish and maintain a diverse network of external stakeholders to stay up-to-date on evolving EDI trends.
Requirements:
  • A graduate degree and at least five years' experience working in an administrative research environment.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing EDI strategies for research practice and design.
  • Demonstrated strong scholarly writing skills and excellent communications skills.
  • Flexibility to respond to fluctuating workload demands while maintaining productivity and quality.
