LifeLabs Medical Laboratory Services is on the lookout for a Medical Lab Technologist to become an integral part of our organization.
As a Medical Lab Technologist, you will be responsible for delivering precise and prompt diagnostic specimen testing and reporting. Your commitment to accuracy, quality, and efficiency will play a vital role in improving patient health and achieving optimal health outcomes. This position is ideal for a meticulous, hands-on individual who excels in a dynamic, collaborative setting.
This is a Full-Time position with adaptable shift schedules that promote a healthy work-life balance. LifeLabs facilities are recognized as educational laboratories, providing opportunities for knowledge sharing in a cooperative atmosphere, 24/7 medical support from our Medical Science team, and access to a medical library, along with the chance to mentor college and university student placements.
This role requires flexibility with shifts from Tuesday to Saturday.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting a diverse array of diagnostic and interpretive specimen testing.
- Performing, interpreting, and reporting results while ensuring patient confidentiality.
- Identifying discrepancies and non-conformities, contributing to the development of effective corrective action plans, and driving continuous improvement.
- Assisting in the evaluation and implementation of innovative technologies.
- Engaging in problem-solving related to work organization and workflow.
Are You the Right Candidate?
LifeLabs seeks a Registered Technologist with CSMLS certification who can collaborate effectively in a fast-paced team environment while upholding LifeLabs' standards of safety, accuracy, and efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess:
- A college diploma or university degree in Medical Laboratory Science, or equivalent education and/or experience.
- Exceptional communication skills to interact with a diverse range of individuals.
- Proficient computer skills and knowledge.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, including the capacity to identify and address issues.
- The ability to maintain the highest standards of safety, patient privacy, and confidentiality.
