As a Medical Lab Technologist, you will be responsible for delivering precise and prompt diagnostic specimen testing and reporting. Your role is crucial in ensuring quality, efficiency, and the swift delivery of test results, thereby positively impacting patient health and outcomes. This position is ideal for a meticulous, hands-on professional who excels in a dynamic, collaborative setting.

This is a Full-Time position with adaptable shift options that support a healthy work-life balance. LifeLabs facilities are recognized as educational laboratories, providing opportunities for knowledge sharing, 24/7 medical support from our Medical Science team, and resources from our Medical library, as well as the chance to mentor college and university students.

Work Schedule: This role operates on a FLOAT schedule from Tuesday to Saturday, with the flexibility to work day, evening, or night shifts.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting a diverse array of diagnostic and interpretive specimen tests.
  • Performing, interpreting, and reporting results while safeguarding patient confidentiality.
  • Identifying incidents and non-conformities, contributing to the creation of effective corrective action plans, and promoting continuous improvement.
  • Assisting in the assessment and integration of new technologies.
  • Engaging in problem-solving related to workflow and organizational processes.

Are You the Right Candidate?

LifeLabs seeks a Registered Technologist with CSMLS certification who can work effectively in a fast-paced team environment while upholding our standards of safety, accuracy, and efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A college diploma or university degree in Medical Laboratory Science, or equivalent qualifications and experience.
  • Strong communication skills to engage with a diverse range of individuals.
  • Proficient computer skills and technical knowledge.
  • Problem-solving abilities, including the capacity to identify and address issues.
  • A commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety, patient privacy, and confidentiality.
