Building Quality Assurance Project Manager

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As a vital member of the Building Quality Assurance division at McIntosh Perry, your responsibilities will encompass the following:
- Conduct comprehensive reviews of architectural drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and material submissions;
- Execute periodic field inspections and mock-up evaluations, utilizing a reporting system to track and amend action items as necessary;
- Prepare detailed reports and effectively communicate review outcomes to clients, including facilitating meetings as required;
- Perform on-site evaluations to assess the performance of building enclosures, focusing on water and air leakage assessments and guard rail systems;
- Support builders and developers in navigating new construction techniques, addressing deficiencies, or responding to claims of inadequacies;
- The ideal candidate should demonstrate flexibility and be open to a blend of fieldwork and office responsibilities, coordinating travel to assigned locations as needed;
- Address client inquiries regarding proposals and other project-related matters;
- Identify potential clients and establish connections to support business development initiatives;
- Undertake additional duties as assigned within the Buildings Group;
- Perform other responsibilities as may be designated.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree or College Diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering, Building Science, or Architectural Science;
- Familiarity with Building Science Principles and Building Envelope Technologies is considered advantageous;
- Up to 5 years of experience in residential, commercial, or industrial construction and/or building evaluations;
- Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) or Building Science Specialist (BSS) designation, or progress towards obtaining such credentials would be beneficial;
- Health & Safety training in construction projects is regarded as an asset;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with excellent interpersonal abilities;
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills, with the capacity to handle multiple priorities within a growing organization;
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, including MS Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint;
- A valid G driver's license, access to a vehicle with current registration and insurance for travel purposes.
