POSITION OVERVIEW

Under the guidance of the designated supervisor, the Property Portfolio Assistant (PPA) plays a crucial role in supporting tenants and Property Portfolio Managers (PPMs) with various programs and services. This includes responsibilities such as rent assessments, annual evaluations, and the organization and upkeep of housing inventory along with other related services. The PPA aids in the initial establishment of tenant records, ensuring that rents, subsidies, and services are accurately documented, while also maintaining these files in accordance with established protocols and BC Housing's systems and databases. The role involves analyzing and interpreting tenant and housing data to guarantee precision and initiating corrective measures when required.

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Completion of high school education along with several post-secondary courses in business, program administration, or related fields. Significant relevant experience in a similar environment. Alternatively, a combination of education, training, and experience that meets the Employer's standards.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Familiarity with the principles, practices, and procedures of business and program administration. Competence in utilizing office systems and operational procedures. Proficiency in computer applications, particularly MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel). Strong typing skills with a minimum speed of 50 wpm. Excellent mathematical and analytical capabilities. Outstanding communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage files and organize confidential information effectively. Capacity to handle sensitive situations and challenging discussions. Capability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. Adaptability to a fast-paced and frequently evolving environment. Problem-solving skills that are creative and compliant with established regulations. Initiative and the ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision. Highly organized, managing multiple tasks while ensuring accuracy and timely completion. Proficient in interpreting financial documents received from tenants. Sound judgment and decision-making abilities. Quick and efficient learning of computer applications and administrative tasks. A Criminal Record Check is mandatory.
