Job Title: Truck Driver

We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team at Steel Boots Trucking Inc. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for safely operating a semi-trailer truck to transport goods and materials across various routes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Load and unload goods in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring accurate documentation and inventory management.
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition, and report any issues to the maintenance team.
  • Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Communicate effectively with central dispatch and other stakeholders to receive and relay information, and to coordinate transportation logistics.
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption to maintain accurate records and optimize routes.
Requirements:
  • Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi-trailer trucks) and a valid driver's licence.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound judgments in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts and adapt to changing transportation demands.
