About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and reliable Construction Trades Assistant to join our team at Percon Excavating Inc. As a key member of our construction team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful completion of our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load, Unload, and Transport Construction Materials: Assist in the transportation of construction materials to and from job sites, ensuring timely delivery and efficient use of resources.
  • Read Blueprints and Determine Work Requirements: Review blueprints and specifications to determine the necessary materials and equipment required for each project.
  • Assist in Aligning Pipes during Pipeline Construction: Collaborate with experienced tradespeople to align pipes and ensure proper installation.
  • Clean and Pile Salvaged Materials: Safely collect and store salvaged materials for future use or disposal.
  • Perform Routine Maintenance Work: Conduct regular maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our equipment and facilities.
  • Direct Traffic at or Near Construction Sites: Safely direct traffic and pedestrians to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Inspect Construction of Sewer Systems and Pipelines: Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Requirements
  • Secondary (High) School Graduation Certificate: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 1-2 Years of Experience in Construction: Previous experience in construction, preferably in a related trade, is essential.
  • Dependability, Reliability, and Hardworking: A strong work ethic, reliability, and dependability are crucial for success in this role.
