Position Title: Senior Government Relations Coordinator
Organization: Ontario Medical Association (OMA)

Position Overview:

  • Facilitate meetings between the OMA and key stakeholders, including government representatives.
  • Provide comprehensive administrative assistance to the government relations department.
  • Develop and review documentation and presentations for both internal and external engagements.
  • Document meeting discussions and aid in the coordination of logistics.
  • Support initiatives related to advocacy and government relations.
  • Maintain contact databases and assist in tracking legislative changes.
  • Contribute to reporting and project management efforts.
  • Process honoraria for physician members.
  • Engage in the Administrative Professionals Forum.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Communications, or a related discipline.
  • 3-4 years of relevant administrative experience.
  • Prior experience at Queen's Park or involvement in political campaigns is advantageous.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
  • Strong written communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Genuine interest in Ontario's political landscape and healthcare policy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with Smartsheet is a plus.
