Job Description

Program Manager

The Canadian Race Relations Foundation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Manager to coordinate the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs and initiatives that align with our mandate and strategic priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop national, regional, and local programs and events that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Conduct research to support program ideation, including policy initiatives, scans of comparable initiatives, and audience mapping.
  • Identify risks and mitigation strategies and integrate contingencies in the program plan to ensure smooth delivery.
  • Develop program concepts and briefing notes, and brief the senior leadership team on programs.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with program partners and collaborators, including government departments, charities, and community leaders.
  • Coordinate program logistics, including managing vendors, speakers, and registration processes.
  • Provide onsite programmatic support and manage multiple programs concurrently.
  • Contribute to internal update reports and support the implementation of the organization's business plan.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in social sciences or a related field, and/or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing multiple regional and national programs and events using trauma-informed and community-centered practices.
  • Knowledge and experience implementing agile project management principles, tools, and software in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to brief senior leadership on programs clearly and concisely, and to independently resolve issues and find creative solutions.
  • Training in race relations, anti-racism, grant administration, community building, and engagement is an asset.
