Sustainable Infrastructure Project Consultant

Role Overview
The Sustainable Infrastructure Delivery Consultant is accountable for project estimation, design, and managing the entire sales process from initiation to contract finalization for the project portfolio within the designated Area team. This role involves overseeing projects within the assigned local region as designated by the Area General Manager and/or Development Manager, assessing resource requirements to meet schedule targets, and monitoring workforce levels to ensure alignment with the construction delivery strategy. The consultant will manage change orders and scope adjustments, ensuring that all modifications are documented promptly and approved before work commences, in collaboration with the assigned Construction Managers.
Key Responsibilities
Develops and maintains project execution plans, schedules, and budgets, representing these elements to clients as necessary during the pursuit phase. Collaborates strategically with Sales and Engineering teams within the Area to secure contracts that engage customers effectively. Engages actively with the local contracting community, industry associations, and networks with local subcontractors to foster strong relationships. Ensures high levels of customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle, particularly during the Development and transition to Delivery phases.Internal Collaboration
Works in tandem with Development Team members to establish and sustain market leadership. Aids the SI Delivery Manager in resource planning and allocation to meet immediate project commitments. Evaluates development needs and collaborates with the SI Delivery Manager to assign Construction Managers for sales support during the audit process, contributing insights on vendor selection, scope enhancements, and risk assessments. Assists in preparing the annual financial operating plan for project operations and ensures fiscal targets are met.Execution Strategy
Conducts sales support activities early in the audit process to provide insights on vendor selection and project scope. Manages cost estimation, project scheduling, and construction management for projects secured by the area team. Develops billing schedules and assists the Development team in negotiating favorable terms. Communicates project scope and customer expectations to Development and Delivery teams throughout the project lifecycle. Establishes customer engagement points throughout the project to gather feedback on satisfaction and communicates this feedback to the broader teams. Champions compliance with legal and ethical standards in all business practices.Performance Metrics
The Delivery Consultant is responsible for managing labor estimates, subcontractor estimates, and risk assessments to meet the secured margin objectives for all assigned projects. Key performance indicators include:
Project Profitability Executed Gross Margin Project cash flow based on beneficial contract terms Utilization of project management tools and resourcesQualifications
Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business, or equivalent experience, along with a minimum of ten years in operations management within the Installation Industry, including five years in a direct management role. Strong communication, presentation, and leadership skills are essential, as is proficiency in project management software and tools.
