**Role Summary**
As a Senior Consultant, Data Science at Project X Ltd., you will provide our clients with expert knowledge and experience in making sense of complex data. Using your computer science, statistics, and mathematics expertise, you will analyze, process, and model data, then interpret the results to create actionable data-driven solutions for our clients.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Participate in requirements gathering, analysis, project planning, and solutions design.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions.
- Develop and optimize machine learning models using various techniques.
- Improve data collection procedures and pipelines, ensuring data integrity through data profiling and exploration.
- Productionalize data models with feedback loops to automate refinement processes for deployed models over time.
- Contribute to project planning to establish workload expectations and schedules.
- Stay up-to-date with market trends and best practices in data science.
**Required Skills and Experience**
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in data science.
- Strong Python and SQL development skills.
- Experience with natural language processing (NLP) and large language models (LLM).
- Experience with machine learning/data science modules in Python, including NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-Learn, and various notebook environments.
- Experience building recommendation engines.
- Experience working with machine learning engineers and operations teams to deploy and automate models.
- Understanding of deep learning frameworks, such as Keras, PyTorch, and TensorFlow.
- Experience with NLP frameworks/libraries, e.g., Gensim, SpaCy.
- Experience building NLP and NLU models with state-of-the-art algorithms, e.g., BERT, Transformer.
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business Intelligence, Data Science, or related field.
- Critical thinking capabilities and a consultative mindset.
**Nice to Have**
- Experience with A/B testing.
- Knowledge of cloud technology, e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- BigQuery experience.
