Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Fleet Manager to join our team at AL AZLAAN LOGISTICS INC. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our transportation fleet, ensuring efficient and safe transportation of goods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate Daily Operations: Assess the performance of our transportation fleet on a daily basis, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • Monitor Department Performance: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of our transportation operations, making adjustments to optimize efficiency and productivity.
  • Plan and Organize Daily Operations: Develop and implement daily schedules and routes for our transportation fleet, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
  • Manage Finances or Budget: Oversee the financial aspects of our transportation operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Establish and Implement Policies: Develop and implement policies and standards for the transportation and storage of goods, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee Scheduling and Dispatching: Coordinate the scheduling and dispatching of vehicles and goods, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimizing delays.
  • Oversee Transportation Service Rates: Monitor and adjust transportation service rates to ensure competitiveness and profitability.
  • Organize and Maintain Inventory: Manage the inventory of goods in transit, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Record Cargo Information: Maintain accurate records of cargo information, including hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
Support for Diverse Groups
  • Provides Diversity and Cross-Cultural Trainings: Develop and implement diversity and cross-cultural training programs to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and refugees.
  • Provides Awareness Training: Offer awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth and Indigenous workers.

Requirements: A college diploma or equivalent experience, 7 months to less than 1 year of experience, and equivalent experience. Work language: English. Hours: 37.5 hours per week.
