Lead a Team of Engineers in Signalling Systems Engineering

At Alstom, we're a global leader in the transport industry, and we're looking for a skilled Group Manager to lead our Signalling Systems Engineering team. As a key member of our organization, you'll be responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of our signalling systems, while also driving team growth and improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Define and implement department guidelines, including team profile, abilities, and growth plans.
  2. Develop and maintain competences in Railway Signalling Systems Engineering, coaching the team and growing experts.
  3. Set clear team goals, delegate tasks, and set deadlines.
  4. Provide support to the team during project execution.
  5. Promote Alstom values and lead by example.
  6. Prepare and host management reviews, defining and governing the group's strategy with stakeholders.
  7. Develop golden rules for effective workshare by métier.
  8. Continuously motivate, encourage, evaluate, and recognize team members, in cooperation with HR.
  9. Deploy Global Systems Engineering Processes, Methods, and Tools in the team, providing feedback for Process reviews.
  10. Collect REX from execution and innovation opportunities to feed Reference Library where applicable.
  11. Estimate and validate activities quotations for tenders and projects.
  12. Manage adequacy between estimated workload and capacity, considering subcontracting and business strategies.
  13. Commit to Project/Tender QCD related to Signalling Systems Engineering.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or scientific subjects; Master's degree desirable.
  2. English language proficiency.
  3. Engineering and processes background.
  4. Experience in project execution and management.
  5. Hands-on experience in Signalling Systems Engineering.
  6. Experience and understanding in project estimating.
  7. Comprehensive understanding of governance models and balanced scorecards in a technical environment.
  8. Experience of working in multicultural and international environments.
