Signalling Systems Engineering Group Manager

We are seeking an experienced Group Manager to lead our Signalling Systems Engineering team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for defining and implementing department guidelines, developing and maintaining métier/domain competences, and setting clear team goals.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement department guidelines, including team profile, abilities, growth plans, and discipline evolutions.
- Coach and grow Railway Signalling Systems Engineering experts, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
- Set clear team goals, delegate tasks, and establish deadlines to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Provide support to the team during project execution, ensuring they have the necessary resources and guidance to succeed.
- Promote Alstom values and ensure they are embedded in the team's culture.
- Prepare and host management reviews to ensure the team is aligned with company objectives.
- Define and govern the group's strategy with stakeholders, ensuring it aligns with company goals.
- Develop golden rules for effective workshare by métier, ensuring the team is working efficiently and effectively.
- Continuously motivate, encourage, evaluate, and recognize team members, providing opportunities for growth and development.
- Deploy Global Systems Engineering Processes, Methods, and Tools in the team, providing feedback for process reviews.
- Collect REX from execution and innovation opportunities to feed the Reference Library, where applicable, and share outcomes at the department level.
- Estimate and validate activities quotations for tenders and projects, ensuring they are aligned with company targets.
- Manage the adequacy between estimated workload and capacity, considering subcontracting and business strategies, and report status and issues to the department head.
- Commit to Project/Tender QCD related to Signalling Systems Engineering.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or scientific subjects; Master's degree desirable.
- English, full proficient use.
- P. Eng Certification desirable.
- Engineering and processes background.
- Experience in project execution and management.
- Hands-on experience in Signalling Systems Engineering.
- Experience and understanding in project estimating.
- Comprehensive understanding of governance models and balanced scorecards in a technical environment.
- Experience of working in multicultural and international environments.
