Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Sourcing Leader to join our team at Interac Corp. As a key member of our procurement function, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing our sourcing and procurement activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and empower a team to achieve strategic sourcing goals, providing direction and guidance as needed.
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans aligned with Interac's objectives, ensuring integration with overall corporate strategy and objectives.
- Drive cost savings and operational efficiency through strategic sourcing practices, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing initiatives to achieve results.
- Lead new vendor negotiations to secure favorable terms and conditions, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Oversee new vendor relationships to ensure alignment with business objectives and drive value for Interac.
Requirements
- Eligibility to work for Interac Corp. in Canada in a full-time capacity.
- Payment/fintech knowledge, including Interac products, platforms, and corporate strategy.
- Ability to envision and communicate long-term vision for strategic sourcing within Interac.
- Ability to make strategic decisions based on data and insights.
- Proven experience in negotiating favorable terms with vendors to drive value, achieve cost savings, and structure contracts to align with Interac's goals.
- Strong background in conducting cost analyses and evaluating total cost of ownership for products/services.
- Ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders and vendors to foster positive and productive relationships.
- Strong ability to influence decision-makers and stakeholders.
- Ability to lead and manage change within the sourcing function as Interac evolves in the Agile work model.
- Skills to foster a culture of continuous improvement and look for opportunities to generate improvement.
