Pharmacist - Primary Health Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacist to join our team at Nova Scotia Health. As a key member of our Primary Health Care team, you will work collaboratively with healthcare providers to provide patient-centered care that optimizes safe, effective, and appropriate drug therapy.
Responsibilities will include working with interprofessional teams to identify and resolve drug-related problems, completing medication reconciliation, participating in medical rounds, and providing patient education. You will also be responsible for ensuring safe and effective drug therapy by participating in and overseeing drug distribution systems.
About YouWe are looking for a Pharmacist with a strong background in clinical practice, preferably in a hospital pharmacy setting. You should have a solid understanding of drugs and therapeutics, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred qualifications include a Pharmacy Residency Program and licensure to practice Pharmacy in the Province of Nova Scotia. Competencies in other languages, particularly French, are an asset.
Hours and CompensationThis is a permanent full-time position with a 75-hour bi-weekly schedule. The hourly rate is $53.24. Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
