Position Overview
The SAP HR Functional Specialist plays a crucial role in managing HR information systems on a daily basis. This position involves overseeing the design, development, testing, and implementation of SAP HR solutions, working closely with the team to enhance HR functionalities. The focus is on optimizing HR solutions through various requests and implementations related to Payroll, Organizational Management, and Benefits modules within the SAP framework. The Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of HR data.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and propose SAP solutions for IT initiatives and change requests.
- Develop actionable plans to implement solutions that align with requirements and deadlines.
- Estimate and validate the resources needed for solution development.
- Collaborate with both internal and external system teams affected by the solutions.
- Create functional specifications for solution development (ABAP, PI, etc.).
- Configure various SAP modules, including Payroll, Organizational Management, Benefits, and Time Management.
- Document and validate unit tests, integrated tests, and regression tests.
- Prepare documentation for client approval of tests.
- Maintain documentation of solutions according to established methodologies.
- Ensure system documentation is kept up to date.
- Develop and revise training materials as necessary and provide training to users.
- Serve as a resource for SAP HR and Payroll expertise at various support levels.
- Conduct data integrity checks, analyze outcomes, implement corrections, and design control tools as needed.
- Create data imports and make necessary corrections.
- Manage user roles and permissions, ensuring accurate information maintenance.
- Implement Support Packs, legal updates, and year-end payroll processes.
Qualifications
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in configuring Payroll, Organizational Management, and Benefits modules in SAP.
- Experience in maintaining, optimizing, and developing interfaces with employee data in SAP.
- Proven ability to quickly diagnose and resolve issues, identify opportunities, and provide recommendations in a complex environment.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
- Demonstrated success in managing projects while adhering to deadlines and budgets.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Results-oriented and proactive in approach.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficient in Excel and capable of manipulating data from various sources.
- Experience in configuring Time in SAP is a plus.
- Familiarity with SuccessFactors and its integration with SAP is advantageous.
- Knowledge of CONCUR is beneficial.
- Fluency in both French and English, spoken and written.
