About the Role

The Kraft Heinz Company is seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to join our team at our Mt Royal Plant. As an Electrical Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production lines and maintaining the overall efficiency of our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical equipment and systems to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement maintenance plans, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular inspections and testing of electrical systems to identify potential issues and prevent equipment failure.
  • Develop and maintain documentation of maintenance activities, including work orders, repair records, and equipment histories.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production processes and reduce waste.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of training programs for electrical technicians and other maintenance personnel.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Valid electrical license (e.g., C license) or equivalent experience.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including control systems, motors, and electrical distribution systems.
  • Experience with maintenance management software (e.g., SAP) and other technical tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.

  • Work is performed in a manufacturing environment, with exposure to noise, dust, and other hazards.
  • Must be able to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in other challenging environments.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, and move heavy equipment and materials.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
