Role Summary

We are seeking a strategic and results-oriented professional to fill the role of Manager, Maintenance. This position is integral to overseeing various maintenance functions including civil, control, mechanical, and maintenance planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the execution of both preventive and corrective maintenance tasks performed by skilled personnel according to established schedules.
  • Manage urgent maintenance requests as directed by senior management.
  • Ensure all work is conducted safely and in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Administer maintenance activities within the framework of security protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement and manage the Human Performance program, focusing on field observations and coaching.
  • Track and report on departmental metrics including headcount, financial data, and work completion rates.
  • Present performance metrics to various levels of management.
  • Ensure compliance with radiation safety protocols during maintenance activities.
  • Initiate and manage projects aimed at enhancing workplace efficiency.
  • Conduct self-assessments of the maintenance department against industry standards and recommend improvements.
  • Forecast staffing needs based on various operational factors.
  • Collaborate with peers across sites to maintain comprehensive documentation of maintenance functions.

Qualifications

  • A 4-year degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent trade qualifications.
  • PMP certification is advantageous.
  • 5-10 years of experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proven experience in public speaking and presentations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for employee coaching and development.
  • Experience in a unionized setting is beneficial.
  • Ability to work effectively in an office environment.
  • Experience in nuclear, construction, or manufacturing sectors is a plus.
