Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our team at GFL Environmental. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on our industrial equipment, as well as providing cleaning and maintenance services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment, including power washing and high-pressure water blasting.

  • Conduct cleaning and maintenance services for industrial clients, including line snaking, drain and pipe inspections, and industrial cleaning of chemical non-hazardous and hazardous wastes.

  • Assist with vacuum truck and plant operations as required.

  • Perform confined space entry and rescue as required for industrial services projects.

  • Operate a variety of equipment, including pick-up trucks, utility trailers, forklifts, excavators, and aerial boom lifts.

  • Work in tight or cramped spaces and wear respirators or supplied air breathing apparatus as required.

  • Perform heavy lifting, shoveling, and jack hammering as required.

Requirements:

  • Must have a G class license at minimum.

  • Must be willing to be clean-shaven.

  • Ability to work flexible hours/shifts, days, evenings, nights, and possibly weekends or holidays.

  • 2-5 years' experience in industrial cleaning and maintenance strongly preferred.

  • Previous experience with vacuum trucks, industrial power-washing or water-blasting, or liquid waste industry experience strongly preferred.

  • Previous experience with confined space entry or work at heights an asset.

  • Experience working with respirators and supplied air systems an asset.

  • Must be comfortable with driving and maneuvering a pick-up truck and trailer unit.
