Role Overview

As a Service Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our clients' mobility devices are safe and operational. You will be responsible for delivering on-site and in-home services, including the installation and repair of various mobility aids such as scooters, wheelchairs, and stair lifts.

  • Diagnostic and Repair Responsibilities: Your duties will include:
    • Assessing and troubleshooting client issues with their mobility devices.
    • Conducting repairs on both manual and powered mobility aids in various settings.
    • Addressing electrical system repairs within mobility devices.
    • Programming and setting up basic mobility equipment.
    • Installing and repairing accessibility solutions within clients' residences, including safety products and lifting devices.
  • Customer Service Excellence: As the face of CB Canada, you will provide exceptional service through:
    • Honest and respectful interactions that foster trust with clients.
    • Ensuring that client needs are met to fulfill our mission of accessibility for all.
  • Flexibility and Mobility: Your role will require you to:
    • Travel to various locations, including client homes and partner facilities, throughout the region.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are looking for individuals with a mechanical background who are passionate about making a difference. You will thrive in this role if you possess:

  • Experience in hands-on mechanical work, such as appliance repair or technical maintenance.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and troubleshooting skills.
  • A genuine interest in repairing and maintaining equipment.
  • Excellent communication skills and a background in customer service.
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Knowledge of home medical equipment is advantageous.

Essential Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • A clear criminal background check.
  • Availability for flexible working hours, including evenings and weekends.
