Job Summary:

Medicine Hat College is seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Programmer to join our Student Services department. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in implementing, promoting, and delivering mental health strategies and programming to support students on campus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement mental health campaigns and programs to promote a supportive and inclusive campus climate and environment.
  • Collaborate with students, staff, and the community to ensure students have access to resources and support services.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to promote mental health literacy and awareness.
  • Provide training and support to students, staff, and faculty on mental health-related topics.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in mental health and wellness, including crisis response procedures and community referrals.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Social Work, Psychology, or Health Promotion.
  • Knowledge of and experience with mental health practices that promote flourishing and optimal health, including best practices for sexual violence response.
  • Knowledge of crisis response procedures, community referrals, and network development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
