Your Role as a Claims Management Specialist:

  • Collaborate with the Corporate Claims Team and report directly to the Corporate Claims Director.
  • Evaluate incident investigation reports, determine claims for initial entitlement, prepare submissions for objections, and complete Employer Reports of Injury.
  • Oversee workplace injury claims with an emphasis on reducing time loss and claim expenses.
  • Engage with provincial Worker's Compensation Boards across Canada and Health Care Practitioners to ensure effective claims management.
  • Manage Workers' Compensation Appeals as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in a relevant field with 3 to 5 years of experience in Worker's Compensation claims management.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Workers Compensation policies and procedures, experience rating systems, and the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment and meet deadlines.
  • Experience across multiple provinces would be considered an asset.
