Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team at Heat Tech Mechanical. This permanent position involves working in various environments, including residential and commercial settings.

Work Environment
  • Work Language: English
  • Hours: 40 to 50 hours per week
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma
  • Experience: Previous experience is considered an asset

Responsibilities
  • Install and maintain heating systems
  • Install refrigeration systems
  • Interpret blueprints and technical instructions to plan work methods
  • Troubleshoot and repair heating and cooling systems
  • Assemble and install HVAC components
  • Coach and mentor apprentices
  • Conduct system start-ups and leak tests
  • Perform routine maintenance, including refrigerant recharging and system calibration
  • Ensure compliance with gas codes
  • Handle and store refrigerants safely
  • Repair and replace parts in HVAC systems
Qualifications
  • Certification: Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic Trade Certification
  • Control Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with energy conservation and electrical devices
Transportation and Travel
  • Vehicle provided by employer
Physical Requirements
  • Physically demanding role
  • Ability to handle heavy loads
  • Standing for extended periods
  • Bending, crouching, and kneeling
  • Attention to detail and manual dexterity
Tools and Equipment
  • Must have own tools
  • Steel-toed safety boots required
