Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Power HVAC Mechanic to join our team at United Rentals. As a key member of our Power/HVAC division, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on a variety of equipment, including air conditioners, air cooled chillers, diesel engines, and electrical distribution equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, gas, and diesel systems on rental and customer equipment
  • Diagnose and repair equipment using schematics and diagnostic programs
  • Travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance of rental or customer owned equipment
  • Assist in the training of lower level technicians
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work performed
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
  • 5+ years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment and tools
  • Advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams
  • Advanced diagnostic and repair skills for mechanical, hydraulic, diesel, pneumatic and other systems
  • Extensive knowledge of equipment
  • Ability to lead others
  • Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills
