Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transportation Services Director to lead our team in the safe, efficient, and sustainable execution of all activities in the transportation value stream.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead strategic initiatives across Transportation Services to drive cost-effective decisions and provide value to Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) and the Co-operative Retailing System (CRS).
  • Lead ongoing review of routing files to identify and implement necessary adjustments to optimize inbound and outbound lanes.
  • Gauge performance of Transportation Services by measuring key performance indicators.
  • Lead and direct Transportation Services with the most effective asset utilization.
  • Collaborate with Transportation Services teams and report into the Director, Supply Chain Transportation - Merchandise.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in logistics and/or transportation with 3+ years of leadership experience.
  • Diploma in Business with a preference towards Operations Management.
  • CCLP, SCMP, or equivalent designation is considered an asset.
