Job Description

MBI I.T. Services is seeking a highly skilled IT Field Service Technician to join our team. As a key member of our technical staff, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing computer systems, hardware, and computer peripherals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hardware Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks on computer systems, hardware, and peripherals to ensure optimal performance and prevent downtime.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve technical issues with computer systems, hardware, and peripherals in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all technical work performed, including repairs, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities.
  • Training and Support: Provide technical training and support to employees on the use of computer systems, hardware, and peripherals.
  • Product Recommendations: Determine and recommend the most suitable products or services to meet the needs of our clients.
Requirements:
  • Availability: Be available to work extended hours, including weekends and evenings, for the duration of the contract.
  • Communication Skills: Possess strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with employees and clients.
  • Education: Hold a high school diploma and have college or university enrollment/degree.
  • Experience: Have at least 2+ years of experience working as a break/fix Field IT technician and/or lead break/fix Field IT technician.
  • Technical Knowledge: Possess excellent technical knowledge of hardware and Windows 7 and Windows 10 operating systems.
  • Protocols and Standards: Be familiar with current protocols, operating systems, and standards.
  • Documentation Skills: Be able to read and understand technical manuals, procedural documentation, and OEM guides.
  • Lifting Ability: Be able to lift a 20 lbs. box from the floor to a tabletop surface.
Nice to Have:
  • Education: Hold a college diploma or university degree in the field of computer science and/or information technologies or 7-10 years equivalent work experience.
  • Certifications: Possess CompTIA A+ certifications, Cisco or Microsoft certifications.
Compensation:

$26-28/hour

Incentives:
  • Mileage: Both ways at $0.38/km minus the first 20 km.
  • Travel Time: Last site location back to HUB.
