Position Summary

Crombie REIT is seeking a dedicated Property Maintenance Worker to join our Operations team at Highland Square Mall. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, this role plays a vital part in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of the property. The ideal candidate will be service-oriented, possess a strong work ethic, and demonstrate a commitment to delivering exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding customer service by addressing tenant concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Perform daily maintenance tasks across all areas of the property, both indoors and outdoors, ensuring a clean and well-maintained environment.
  • Manage snow removal operations, including shoveling, using snow blowers, and operating small tractors. Apply salt to walkways and parking areas as needed.
  • Maintain landscaping by mowing lawns, trimming hedges, planting flowers, and performing other tasks to enhance the property's aesthetic appeal.
  • Carry out various repair and maintenance activities, such as painting, patching asphalt, vacuuming, assembling seasonal decorations, and cleaning gutters.
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, wash windows, and perform general housekeeping duties to maintain a hygienic and welcoming space.
  • Effectively communicate any issues or concerns to the Property Manager and Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Collaborate with contractors by providing access to mechanical rooms and overseeing their work.
  • Conduct monthly water meter readings and property inspections as required.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and procedures in all tasks.
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations, such as fire alarms, floods, or accidents.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of experience in a maintenance role is preferred.
  • Possess a valid driver's license.
  • Demonstrate strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Clear criminal record check required.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds occasionally.
