We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Worker II to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. Reporting to the Maintenance & Operations Assistant Manager, this role will be responsible for performing a variety of semi-skilled and unskilled tasks related to the upkeep of our properties and related infrastructure.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Performing routine maintenance and repairs to buildings, grounds, and equipment
- Assisting with the operation, monitoring, maintenance, and service requirements of all grounds and facility-related infrastructure and equipment
- Maintaining and following operational, equipment, tools, and safety codes, standards, and procedures
This is a permanent, full-time position with a 75-hour bi-weekly schedule. The successful candidate will be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
About YouWe are looking for a candidate with:
- A successful completion of a 1-year certificate or diploma in a technical trade (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, etc.) or registered apprentice
- A 4th Class Power Engineer certificate may also be considered
- 3 months of relevant work experience
- Shift work required
- Competencies in other languages are an asset, French preferred
This position offers a competitive hourly rate of $26.35 and a comprehensive benefits package.
