Job Title: Scheduling Clerk

The Scheduling Clerk plays a vital role in the Home Care team at Southern Health-Santé Sud, working under the supervision of the Regional Manager. This position is responsible for coordinating and maintaining scheduling for Home Care clients and staff, ensuring seamless operations and excellent patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate scheduling for Home Care clients and staff, ensuring timely and efficient service delivery.
  • Collaborate with Home Care Resource Coordinators and Case Coordinators to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Exercise initiative and independent judgment in determining work priorities, work methods, and actions to take on unusual matters.
  • Function in a manner consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Southern Health-Santé Sud.
Qualifications:
  • Completion of Grade 12 education required.
  • Preference given to Procura trained applicants.
  • Minimum 1 year experience scheduling staff, preferably in a unionized environment and utilizing electronic scheduling tools.
  • Recent Home Care experience preferred.
  • Intermediate keyboarding and computer skills.
  • General understanding of office practices and procedures and use of office equipment (computer, fax, etc).
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal working relationships.
  • Ability to apply critical thinking.
  • Ability to work both independently with minimum supervision and as a team member.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and work in a time-sensitive environment, managing competing priorities.
  • Satisfactory employment record.
  • Ability to respect and promote a culturally diverse population.
  • Proficiency in both official languages essential for target and designated bilingual positions.
