Scheduling Coordinator

The Home Care Scheduling Clerk plays a vital role in the healthcare team, working under the supervision of the Regional Manager to coordinate and maintain scheduling for Home Care clients and staff. This position requires strong organizational skills, effective communication, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and maintain scheduling for Home Care clients and staff
- Collaborate with Home Care Resource Coordinators and Case Coordinators to ensure seamless care delivery
- Exercise initiative and independent judgment in determining work priorities and methods
- Maintain accurate records and reports
- Provide excellent customer service to clients and staff
- Completion of Grade 12 education
- Preference will be given to Procura trained applicants
- Minimum 1 year experience scheduling staff, preferably in a unionized environment and utilizing electronic scheduling tools
- Recent Home Care experience preferred
- Intermediate keyboarding and computer skills
- General understanding of office practices and procedures and use of office equipment
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal working relationships
- Ability to apply critical thinking
- Ability to work both independently with minimum supervision and as a team member
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and work in a time-sensitive environment, managing competing priorities
- Satisfactory employment record
- Ability to respect and promote a culturally diverse population
- Proficiency in both official languages
- Demonstrated ability to meet the physical and mental demands of the job
