Your role and contributions:
• Oversee supplier capability evaluations, which involve:
o Planning assessments: Establish timelines, finalize logistics, initiate data requests, manage team resources, and set expectations.
o Conducting evaluations: Lead the team in performing on-site assessments.
o Compiling results: Supervise the creation of assessment deliverables, prepare management reports, finalize scores, and communicate findings.
• Act as a supply chain expert during on-site evaluations to assess supplier performance, focusing on supply chain and planning aspects.
o Demand planning: Evaluate the supplier's demand planning processes, including variables, forecasting, and communication.
o Sales & Operations planning: Review the governance process, planning horizon, stakeholders, budgeting, and tools utilized.
o Production & inventory planning: Assess the supplier's production and inventory planning parameters, systems, and stakeholder coordination.
o Procurement planning: Analyze P2P workflows, processes, and tools used.
o Supplier management: Evaluate systems and processes for managing tier II/III suppliers.
• Assess supplier performance related to financial and human resources processes.
• Identify gaps and opportunities for improvement in the supplier's supply chain processes and governance to enhance planning and supplier performance.
• Maintain a log of supplier risks, agreed corrective actions, and track improvements resulting from assessments.
• Collaborate with team members to address and resolve recurring supplier issues and risks.
Key qualifications for success:
• You possess over 3 years of experience in Supply Chain and Operations, specifically in S&OP or inventory planning within Industrial Manufacturing, including at least 3 years of experience in coaching teams.
• You are knowledgeable about key systems and tools used in planning environments, such as Sales forecasting, ERP, and MRP.
• You demonstrate excellent relationship management, negotiation, and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to align assessment outcomes with business objectives.
• You have a strong technical aptitude and proficiency in MS Office applications (including SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Word).
• This role requires approximately 70% travel.
