Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Front Desk Clerk to join our team at Best Western Fernie Plus Mountain Lodge. As a key member of our front office team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service, managing room assignments, and ensuring a seamless check-in and check-out experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Registration: Register arriving guests, assign rooms, and ensure accurate room inventory.
  • Front Desk Operations: Process group arrivals and departures, take, cancel, and change room reservations, and provide general information about local attractions.
  • Cash Handling: Balance cash, complete balance sheets, and process guest departures, including calculating charges and receiving payments.
  • Communication: Answer telephones, relay messages, and provide customer service to guests and colleagues.
  • Administrative Tasks: Maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments, and perform clerical duties such as faxing, filing, and photocopying.
Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Will train.
  • Work setting: Hotel, motel, resort.
  • Work language: English.
  • Hours: 40 hours per week.
