About the Role

Bombay Wholesale & Trading Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Merchandiser to join our team. As a Merchandiser, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with suppliers, negotiating prices and credit terms, and ensuring adequate stock levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supplier Management: Establish and maintain contact with suppliers to negotiate prices, discounts, and credit terms.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain adequate stock levels to meet the requirements of our establishment.
  • Product Sourcing: Review requirements and determine the quantity and type of merchandise to purchase.
  • Purchasing: Select and purchase merchandise for resale.
  • Communication: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year.
  • Computer and Technology Knowledge: Proficient in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word.
  • Specialization/Experience: Buying, negotiation, and pricing.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work under tight deadlines and sit for extended periods.
Work Environment
  • Work Setting: Relocation costs covered by employer.
  • Transportation: Public transportation is available.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
