Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Merchandiser to join our team at Lidl Wholesale Ltd. as a Product Sourcing Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining contact with suppliers, negotiating prices and credit terms, and selecting and purchasing merchandise for resale.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products.
  • Negotiate prices, discounts, and credit terms with suppliers to maximize value for the company.
  • Review product requirements and determine the quantity and type of merchandise to purchase.
  • Select and purchase merchandise for resale, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulations.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
Work Environment

This role is based in a wholesale establishment/store environment, with a team of 1 to 2 people. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a similar setting and be able to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.

Computer and Technology Skills
  • Proficient in MS Excel, MS Outlook, and MS Word.
Specialization/Experience
  • Buying and negotiation experience in a business sales and services environment.
Transportation/Travel Information

Public transportation is available for this role.
