Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Truck Mechanic to join our team at Red Seal truck and Equipment Repair. As an Industrial Truck Mechanic, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of industrial trucks and forklifts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimate Repair Costs: Accurately assess the cost of repairs and provide estimates to customers.
  • Perform Scheduled Maintenance and Service: Regularly inspect and maintain industrial trucks and forklifts to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Advise Customers on Work Performed and Condition of Equipment: Communicate with customers to inform them of the work performed and the condition of their equipment.
  • Repair and Rebuild Hoisting Mechanism and Other Mechanical Systems: Diagnose and repair issues with hoisting mechanisms and other mechanical systems on industrial trucks and forklifts.
  • Test and Adjust Repaired Equipment for Proper Performance: Test and adjust repaired equipment to ensure it is functioning properly.
Work Environment

As an Industrial Truck Mechanic, you will work in a fast-paced environment with noisy, dusty, and odorous conditions. You will be required to handle heavy loads and work in physically demanding conditions.

Requirements
  • Manual Dexterity: Possess the ability to use your hands and fingers to manipulate objects.
  • Attention to Detail: Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure accurate repairs and maintenance.
  • Hand-Eye Coordination: Possess the ability to coordinate your hands and eyes to perform tasks.
  • Bending, Crouching, Kneeling: Be able to bend, crouch, and kneel to perform tasks.
  • Handling Heavy Loads: Possess the ability to handle heavy loads and equipment.
  • Physically Demanding: Be able to work in physically demanding conditions.
