About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Truck Mechanic to join our team at Truck Point Inc. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and safety of our fleet of commercial transport trucks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on commercial transport trucks, including adjustments, replacements, and testing of systems and components.
  • Parts Estimation and Labour Costing: Accurately estimate parts and labour costs for vehicle maintenance and repairs.
  • Scheduled Maintenance Service: Perform scheduled maintenance services to ensure vehicles are in good working condition.
  • Area of Specialization: Develop expertise in engine repair and overhaul, as well as truck-trailer repair.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, flexible, with good judgement and reliability.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent position, working 35 hours per week. The work environment is fast-paced, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential.

Language and Work Environment

The primary language of work is English, and the work environment is a commercial transport truck maintenance facility.
