About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our culinary team at JMK MAHAL RESTAURANT LTD. As a key member of our kitchen management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of our menu items, ensuring that our high standards of quality and service are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and Implement Efficient Kitchen Operations
    • Develop and maintain effective systems for managing food preparation, inventory, and supply chain logistics.
    • Collaborate with our culinary team to ensure seamless execution of menu items and specials.
  • Lead and Develop a High-Performing Team
    • Recruit, train, and mentor a team of food service staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to excel in their roles.
    • Provide coaching and feedback to team members to improve performance and address any areas of concern.
  • Ensure Quality and Safety Standards
    • Implement and maintain strict quality control measures to ensure that all menu items meet our high standards.
    • Conduct regular safety audits to identify and mitigate any potential hazards in the kitchen.
  • Manage Inventory and Supplies
    • Develop and implement effective inventory management systems to minimize waste and optimize stock levels.
    • Source and procure high-quality ingredients and supplies to support our culinary operations.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams
    • Work closely with our front-of-house team to ensure seamless service and high levels of customer satisfaction.
    • Collaborate with our purchasing and logistics teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery of ingredients and supplies.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
    • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of quality and safety.
    • Ability to train and develop a team of food service staff.
