About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Floor Covering Installer to join our team at Basmala Flooring Ltd. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our clients receive high-quality flooring solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation: Inspect, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered, ensuring accurate measurements and precise markings.
  • Material Handling: Measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding, as well as measure, cut, and install carpeting on floors and resilient floor coverings.
  • Installation and Repair: Prepare and install hardwood floors, inspect and repair damaged floor coverings, and estimate costs and materials for projects.
  • Pre-Installation Tasks: Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants, and prepare floors for installations.
  • Specialized Tasks: Install carpeting on walls or other surfaces, and read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Physical Demands: Bending, crouching, and kneeling are required for this role.
Work Experience and Requirements
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Work Schedule: 35 to 40 hours per week.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication in this role.
