About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Floor Covering Installer to join our team at Diamond Construction. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing high-quality floor coverings, ensuring a seamless and efficient process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation: Inspect, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered, ensuring accurate measurements and precise installation.
  • Carpet Installation: Measure, cut, and install carpeting on floors, adhering to industry standards and company specifications.
  • Resilient Flooring Installation: Measure, cut, and install resilient floor coverings, including vinyl and linoleum, to meet customer expectations.
  • Hardwood Flooring Installation: Prepare and install hardwood floors, ensuring a smooth and even finish.
  • Inspection and Repair: Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings, restoring them to their original condition.
  • Estimation and Planning: Estimate costs and materials, preparing for installations and ensuring timely completion.
  • Pre-Installation Preparation: Prepare floors for installations, including cleaning, leveling, and ensuring a stable surface.
  • Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications, understanding customer requirements and company standards.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate, with a focus on trade skills and technical knowledge.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in floor covering installation, with a proven track record of quality work and customer satisfaction.
  • Work Environment: Permanent position, working 35 hours per week, with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
  • Language: English language proficiency, with excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
