About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Floor Covering Installer to join our team at Diamond Construction. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our clients receive high-quality flooring installations that meet their expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation: Inspect, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered, ensuring accurate measurements and precise markings.
  • Carpet Installation: Measure, cut, and install carpeting on floors, taking into account the specific requirements of each project.
  • Resilient Flooring Installation: Measure, cut, and install resilient floor coverings, including vinyl and linoleum, to provide a durable and long-lasting finish.
  • Hardwood Flooring Installation: Prepare and install hardwood floors, ensuring a precise fit and a beautiful finish.
  • Repair and Maintenance: Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings, restoring them to their original condition.
  • Estimation and Planning: Estimate costs and materials required for each project, ensuring that our clients receive accurate quotes and timely installations.
  • Pre-Installation Preparation: Prepare floors for installations, including cleaning, leveling, and ensuring a stable surface.
  • Technical Skills: Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications, applying your knowledge of flooring installation techniques and materials.
  • Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced construction environment, collaborating with our installation team to deliver high-quality results.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in flooring installation.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 35 hours per week.
